Today (Thursday 21 February), officers across Doncaster have executed three warrants and arrested nine people as part of Operation Duxford.
During the multi-agency operation, eight properties were also searched and hundreds of people spoken to, as officers flooded the town centre and surrounding areas, carrying out hours of dedicated patrols.
Chief Inspector Andrew Hunt who ran the operation said: “It has been a great day of activity with our partners which has so far been very successful, and we have more activity planned this evening.
“Duxford is all about showing that public that we are listening and acting on what matters most to them. The public can be confident we are focusing on their priorities with special attention being given to matters such as speed enforcement.
“What makes the operation really successful is the team effort. We get tremendous support from our partner agencies especially Doncaster council, colleagues across the force, and specialist resources. The support and feedback from the public is always great to see, too.
“As well as early morning warrants, the multi-agency team came together to carry out high visibility patrols, traffic enforcement and crime reduction events.
“This is of course part of the work being carried out in Doncaster every day and I’d like to thank the public for their continued support. Please, if you are concerned about anything, speak to us, so we can act on it.”
