Man charged with alleged Sheffield robberies

A 30-year-old man has appeared before Sheffield Magistrates Court this week charged in connection with three reported robberies in Sheffield.

Cain Froggatt, of no fixed abode, appeared before the court on Monday 21 January charged with three counts of robbery and two counts of possessing a bladed article.

He has been remanded into custody, with a further court date due to be set.

The charges relate to three reported robberies at three separate premises, including Totley Rise Post Office, McColl’s Newsagents on Ecclesall Road South and Westwick News and Booze. All three robberies were reported between the 14 and 19 January 2019.
