Victim named in Doncaster murder inquiry

A woman who died following an incident in the Dunscroft area on Friday has this afternoon been named as Tracey McFarquhar.

Miss McFarquhar, 52, was hit by a vehicle at the entrance of Whitegates Caravan Park on Station Road at around 1.50pm on Friday 22 March. She was pronounced dead at the scene and a post-mortem examination concluded that she died from multiple injuries.

Her family have today released this picture of her and have asked that their privacy continue to be respected at this incredibly difficult time.

A 19-year-old man, Costica Mihai, of St Catherine’s Avenue, Balby, is due to appear before Doncaster Magistrates’ Court tomorrow morning (Monday 25 March), charged with murder.

Police remain keen to hear from anyone with information, particularly anyone who saw a red Citroen Berlingo in the Dunscroft and Wadworth area after the incident.
