Date published: 17 November 2023 17:34Welcome message from the Neighbourhood Inspector Lisa Bird
Hello, my name is Lisa Bird and I am the Doncaster Central Neighbourhood Policing Team Inspector. For the past 18 years, I have served the residents of Doncaster, mainly as a response officer and then Sergeant, prior to joining the neighbourhood team in June 2022.
It is my honest belief that in working together, we can ensure the safety and well-being of our communities, developing on the work that is already in place.
Every month I will run Community Engagement Meetings where residents will be able to meet myself, officers and colleagues from partner agencies.

The overarching priorities for the Doncaster Central Neighbourhood Policing Team are:
- To reduce crime and anti-social behaviour by building stronger ties within the communities we serve
- Tackling long term issues experienced within our communities, seeking solutions to these matters in conjunction with our partner agencies
- Provide high visibility reassurance to our communities via regular patrols by officers
- We will also aim to tackle armed criminality which is often linked to drugs. We will act on information provided by the public and partners to tackle drug production and use
We also recognise that the specific policing issues differ across the various communities we serve within the Central area of Doncaster.
Based on reporting from the public, direct feedback from the public as part of our engagement activities, discussions with partners and other sources such as surveys; more specific priorities for us include:
